The UK-US PROMs Collaboration
2026 Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are increasingly recognised as an important tool for supporting person-centred HIV care. By directly capturing patients' experiences, symptoms and concerns, PROMs can help healthcare professionals identify unmet needs, monitor wellbeing over time and tailor care to individual priorities.
Despite this potential, embedding PROMs into routine clinical practice remains challenging and requires careful consideration of clinical workflows, digital systems and patient engagement. The programme aims to integrate the Positive Outcomes HIV-specific PROM into routine HIV care to support more personalised and responsive healthcare.
