Progress & challenges to HRQoL in the WHO European Region

Insights from the European Parliament's study on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) for people living with HIV demonstrate that only 13 countries in the WHO Europe Region assess HRQoL as part of national monitoring of people of living with HIV. Few of these countries collect data on stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV, and even fewer compare the quality of life of people living with HIV and HIV-negative individuals, highlighting a gap in understanding of the broader impact of HIV on overall wellbeing.
